The defintion of a model probably means a lot to different people.  No one is a

model by birth.  Being a model requires the proper physical qualities

and also the proper mental and moral attitudes-referred to as "talent".

The secrets of the modeling profession is therefore this:discipline, respect for

ones physical qualities; meaning body and health, a desire to succeed and

ambition, patience, and a permanent search for acquiring the right look for

marketing purposes and abilities in the given field you are seeking.  The latter

mentioned must be perfected and you must be excellent in dealing with people

in understanding and cooperation working with agents and other models to 

reveal a successful campaign for who you represent.  Short and sweet if you

cannot get along with others you won't be a successful model in any market.
